Farmhouse Casale del Contadino - Bolsena
Casale del Contadino nestles close to the shores of Lake Bolsena. It is a working farm of 5 hectares in the Comune of Bolsena in Upper Lazio in the province of Viterbo, a few kilometres from Tuscany and Umbria.
The farm sits between the green of the hillside and the blue of the water of the lake which was originally volcanic, and is farmed in keeping with local traditions cultivating a wide range of fruit and vegetables including tomatoes, potatoes, peaches, oil and wine etc. Seasonal produce is available for purchase.
The recently restored apartments, simply furnished, have all modern comforts, verandas or terraces, sattelite TV, dish washers, washing machines, barbecues and outside eating areas.
They are situated a few metres from the comunal swimming pool and childrens' playground and are 300 metres along a footpath from two private beaches by the lakeside.
The cities of Rome, Viterbo, Siena, Perugia, the thermal baths of Saturnia and Viterbo, the Etruscan localities of Tarquinia and Vulci and the historical centres of Orvieto, Todi and Civita di Bagnoregio are all within easy distance.
